Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This policy explains what information the ConvoyConnect mobile app and website (“ConvoyConnect”, “we”, “us”) collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, username, email address and password, or the basic profile shared when you sign in with Google.
- Buddies and status: the Buddies you add, your Available/Unavailable status, and meetups you create or respond to.
- Location (optional): if you turn on location sharing, we use your device’s location to show distance to Buddies and to alert you and your Buddies when you are nearby. You can turn this off at any time in the app or in your phone’s settings.
- Device and usage data: basic technical information such as device type, app version and crash logs, used to keep the app working.
- Messages to us: anything you send through our contact form or by email.
How we use information
- To provide core features: showing Buddies, availability, distance, nearby alerts, meetups and notifications.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To reply to your questions and send important service updates.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who can see your information
Your status, and your location if you choose to share it, are visible only to people you have added as Buddies. We share data with service providers who host and operate the app for us, and when required by law.
Your choices
- Turn location sharing on or off at any time.
- Remove Buddies or set yourself as Unavailable whenever you like.
- Request deletion of your account and data through our Support page or by emailing [email protected].
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and delete it within a reasonable period after you delete your account, unless we need to keep it to meet legal obligations.
Children
ConvoyConnect is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them without parental consent.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above.
